Playground 2013

It had been very cold and rainy in the past few weeks, and we finally got to spend some time in the backyard.  Haley and Chester were so happy to play outside.

Derek & Annie - visiting the States

My cousin Derek and his newly wed wife Annie came to the States for their honeymoon. We have the honor to take them around in the Bay during their few days of stay in San Francisco.  It was a very nice time to reunion with relatives from Hong Kong.  The time was short but I treasured every moments being with them and getting to know them more.  Thanks to them so we also got a chance to tour the City again as well.

Board games

We picked up a few preschool board games during the holidays and Haley fell in love with them.  At the beginning, she cried and got all upset when she couldn't win or when she slid from the top to bottom in the Chutes and Ladder game.  After many days of playing and explaining the sportsmanship, she finally enjoys the game from start to finish.  A biggest challenge to finish the game is to keep Chester away from destroying it.

C is for Cat

Story time

They lined up the dolls and Haley told a story.

Swimming achievement

Haley received her ribbon of excellence for preschool level 4 in her swimming lesson.  She is now capable of doing:
stationary roll, back to tummy
arm movements
stationary roll, tummy to back
independent back float, 3 seconds
roll to back/side for breath/rest
Chester enjoys snack while watching Haley.
Chester is Haley's 書僮, pulling her suitcase at swim school.

Six Flags on NY day

Thanks to our friend brought us free tickets to visit Six Flags on New Year Day.  Little Nicolas was making silly face in the back.
Asian Elephant Liz demonstrated how she moved the logs.
Chester is so brave to touch Elephant Liz after the show.
Chester rode on the spinning cup with daddy.  It is also Haley's first time riding on a mini roller coaster with mommy.
We enjoyed all the animal shows, especially the dolphins and sea lion show.
